Columbia, SC a Prologue

So you probably once had to learn that Columbia is the capital of South Carolina.. but what else do you know ? It is the home of the University of South Carolina, the USC not in California and the Carolina Micheal Jordan did attend. But if you are a high school student in Ohio that would be the school with the "Cocks" hats. Recently the city has a adopted a new slogan "Famously Hot", anyone who did basic training at Ft. Jackson in August could tell you why. You will never hear anyone in Columbia refer to the heat here a "dry heat".
